Thanksgiving

We had a very happy Thanksgiving with family. We spent lunch at my Grandparents house with 23 adults and 6 kids. It was all yummy food, of course, and I really enjoyed watching all the little cousins interact. After lunch our family, and my parents headed out to San Marcos. We ate dinner with my brother at Cracker Barrel and spent the rest of the weekend hanging out, shopping, and just enjoying time together. It was nice to relax!

New Warm Jammies for the season.

The kids were so excited to put up our "blow-ups" as soon as we got home.

Some serious catch up to do!

I have neglected my blog for far too long now. With all there is to do around here, it's just the last thing on the list sometimes. Since a lot of things have not been documented yet, and it's a holiday week, I have decided to play some catch up with the extra time we have! I'm not sure how many posts I'll get to today, but I plan to get caught up all the way to Thanksgiving by the end of the weekend! :) I'm going to put the posts in the month they belong in, so you might have to do some scrolling! You can click on "Older Posts" at the bottom to keep on reading.

Thanksgiving Feast

Mary-Kate was super excited for us to come to her Thanksgiving Feast at school this week. They put on a performance with many songs, and then feasted on a thanksgiving snack! MK looked concerned when she couldn't find us in the crowd, but when she finally spotted us she was all smiles. She is such a little performer! We were also cracking up because she constantly had her handmade noodle necklace in her mouth most of the time, and was chewing away!

Notice the necklace.

Doesn't she just make you laugh?

Church

It is such a joy to see our kids singing and participating in church. Here are a few pics of each of them singing in their choir, and sitting in a children's sermon.

First Tooth!

Kaden has lost his first tooth! It is crazy how that makes him seem so big to me. It had been loose for awhile, and he finally let Bryan pull it out. There were most definitely some tears when he saw the blood, but then he was all smiles. He felt important and proud. The tooth fairy came and brought him $1.00.

Wiggling it.

Tears. :(

All smiles!

Being silly now. :)

Kids Art Thursdays

Kaden has informed us that he no longer wants to play soccer. We encouraged him to keep trying, but he insisted. Bryan and I have promised each other that we would never force our kids to do something extra like that if they don't want to do it anymore. So, Kaden has finished the season and is done with soccer for now. I asked him what he would like to do, and he replied, "Art!" Kaden is so creative and talented with all things artistic, so I was thrilled that he wanted to have art lessons. However, finding affordable art lessons for a child is rather difficult around here, so I wasn't sure how to proceed. I was then informed that our local art museum has a thing called "Kids Art Thursdays" and it is free! Each week we can go to the museum and do a number of art projects like drawing, painting, clay making, and even seasonal projects that they have available to try. This has been a huge hit with Kaden. He loves everything he can do there, and is always excited when it is Thursday. I have enjoyed watching him blossom in his skill and creativity. He amazes me. He has also been into making books here at home. He illustrates and captions them and then we put them together for him to read to us. So proud of him!
